Business simulations provide a challenging, but risk-free experimentation field for leaders to develop their leadership perspective and skills.
A major medical products manufacturer recently created a nine-month long blended learning experience to accelerate relationships and skills in their high potential director population. The program design, which includes three different instructor-led workshops, challenges participants to expand their perspective about the competitive environment, the organization, and their role as a leader. Insight Experience developed a suite of threaded business simulations to provide linkage across the individual sessions.
The business simulations highlight the range of business levers available to strategic leaders, and move an organization through a series of challenges across the sessions. Participants practice using the models and tools taught in the program before applying them back on the job, and receive immediate feedback in the form of simulation results and peer observation. In addition, the business simulations create a powerful shared learning experience which enhances the network of relationships within the cohort.
