Our learning philosophy, which is simple, yet powerful, is based on three fundamental beliefs:

Adults Learn by Doing

We believe that adults acquire new skills and behaviors by practicing them.  Knowledge is translated into new behaviors.  Experience, coupled with reflection on the lessons learned from it, leads to mastery of new skills. We provide the risk-free platform for learners to practice new skills and behaviors and to extract insights from them.

Adults Learn from Others

Insight Experience simulations are typically designed to be group-based activities. Participants work together to solve business challenges relevant to their company and their role. Working with peers to solve a business challenge not only introduces new insights from peers, it also teaches skills needed to interact productively and cooperatively. Group-based activities bring to light the need for leadership and interpersonal skills.

Adults Learn with Relevant Tensions

We believe adults learn best in an environment that reflects the relevant tensions of their unique work environment.  Insight works with our clients to ensure that our learning experiences incorporate these core tensions and strike the balance between realistic complexity and disciplined simplicity.
