Learning Program Design

Insight Experience designs learning programs for our clients – programs that enhance managers’ leadership skills, assist organizations with strategic change, and develop organizational as well as employee insights. Our business simulations, an integral part of our experiential learning programs, accelerate organizational growth and change for our clients.

Our design process consists of five components.  In some cases we perform all five services — in other cases we partner and provide a portion of these services.

Design Process Components

1. Consulting to Translate Strategy into Action

We leverage our experience with large-scale change initiatives, and partner with our clients to create results through learning events, communication programs, and through executive and partner engagement.  We ask the question:  What impact are we trying to make on the organization and how will we measure the results?

2. Overall Experience Design

Based upon the results of our consultation, we work with our clients to answer the question: What does the learning experience need to look like in order to achieve these results? From this we develop a blueprint for the overall design of the experience, and outline the resources and commitments needed to make it happen.

3. Event-Based Learning Program Design

Insight Experience’s learning programs vary from a single learning event, such as a one-day conference or three-day workshop, to longer-term, process-based learning which a participant might experience over the course of a year.

4. Multi-phase Learning Experiences

Insight Experience clients often implement multi-phased learning programs. In these cases, participants experience the program in stages customized to that client’s overall objective.

Business Simulation Multiphase Learning ProgramsThe result is a blended learning environment that can combine:

  • on- and off-site learning experiences
  • e-Learning, virtual learning, and classroom learning experiences
  • individual, team, and coach-facilitated learning experiences
  • intellectual and action-based learning
  • learning a concept and applying that concept.

5. Content Design

We work with many sources of content in our learning program design: our own, our clients’, our partners’, and others’.  Insight Experience clients benefit from our library of leadership, strategy and execution content, and we often incorporate models and constructs that are specific to individual client organizations.  When partnering with another company, we reinforce the concepts they bring to the design effort.  In all cases, we work hard to create a seamless learning experience where learning content and simulation application operate as an integrated whole that is much more than the sum of its parts.
